Well I finished 2 things this weekend. A UFO that my daugher had started last year -- The Cat Sampler by Heart in Hand and a punch needle design titled "Funky Snowman" by With Thy Needle and Thread. I also started a little pillow design called Summer by Little House Needleworks and a new Lizzie Kate Punch Needle. The punch needle goes so fast and it is instant gratification. I just have to think of some good finishing ideas for the items I've punched. I also worked a little bit on Skyler Wayne, the piece from my previous post. It was a good weekend to stay inside since it was so HOT and humid outside and that's not my kind of weather.
Gratitudes:
1. Air Conditioning!!
2. Fresh fruit and vegetables from the local farmers market
3. A free weekend of stitching

Is the cat a portrait of Howard? Both items are very nice. Your pictures are good too! I'm glad you had a weekend for stitching and punching. It is always so satisfying when we get a project finished.
I just started a blog myself and am having a great time checking other blogs out.Your snowman is so cute. I use to do rug hooking about 30 years ago but just found it so difficult to find the supplies. I might try it again some day.
Brenda,
I am in awe of your gorgeous work. I do a little cross stitch and I am also an new blogger.
I too have stitched the HIH cat pattern, but wasn't happy with it. I think I'll finish it as a door pillow/ornament and give it to my grandmother - she's happy with most things! :-) And then I'll stitch another one for myself! I love your punchneedle piece. There are so many great, cute PN patterns available. Have you seen them on the Silver Needle web site?
